Happy Twentieth of December! – Merry Epicurean 25th!
Happy Twentieth of December!
This is a time of year that can bring great happiness or great sadness, depending on one’s circumstances. Just like last year, I want to create an opportunity for those of us who frequently communicate as students of Epicurus to get together in a live chat on Christmas day. I will set up a chat room on Epicureanfriends.com like last year, and also perhaps provide a skype link where we can perhaps say hello more directly. We had good participation last year so I hope you can drop by!
I will post more details about links as we get closer to the 25th.
As Seneca recorded: Sic fac omnia tamquam spectet Epicurus! So do all things as though watching were Epicurus!
And as Philodemus wrote: “I will be faithful to Epicurus, according to whom it has been my choice to live.”
Additional discussion of this post and other Epicurean ideas can be found at EpicureanFriends.com.
